What an amazing Christmas it has been this year, family didn’t expect me to still be here for this!

However this evening is the first time I’ve ever taken some bisoprolol along with the ramipril & atorvastatin. Should make for some good dreams huh?

Hi there

I am now three years since my heart valve operation. I still worry occasionally that I have drunk too much or not excercising enough.

Doing the odd 30 minute jog, i’m just basically so happy that I am so fit now.

Enjoy the moment.

May there be many more Christmases to come!

I can make no comment about your medication combo. I'll leave that to those more experienced in such matters to share their views 😊

Forgive me saying so but just dropping medication without guidance from your GP seems dangerous. I was warned stopping BP medication could cause a dangerous rebound.

I'm on those three. Don't sleep well at all. Read for hours in the night but sleep well from 5 until 7 ish.

Hi I take Bisoprolol and Atorvastatin with no issues, however Ramapril gave me a cough so it was changed.

Yes I had that silly thickly dry cough with Ramapril, now on Losartan, what do you take?

I take Losartan, aspirin and valsartan as well. Had HA in 2010 and BP controlled since. Plenty of walking, healthy diet etc.

I've been taking Ramipril for 6 months now, along with Atorvastatin (10mg nightly). Ramipril was designed to reduce circulatory load on my heart, which it presumably has done; initially my blood pressure was too high (168/115), but increasing Ramipril dosage from 1.25 to a maximum 10mg daily has brought BP down to about 125/85. No obvious side-effects. Awaiting results of cardiac MRI to see what effects after 6 months.
