Has anybody here taking statIns had difficulty swallowing as a side effect? I've been on Atorvastatin 80 for 6 months and recently added ezetimibe. My ldl is mow very low .8 but I'm really having difficulty swallowing. TIA.

Hi Jonathan. It isn’t happened to me but I’d suggest you see your doctor very quickly. If it is a side effect of the statin and/or ezetimibe it can be reversed with a change of medication. Please don’t ignore it though. If it has come on since you’ve changed your meds it needs to be dealt with. Good luck.
Thanks Steve, Seeing GP tomorrow. Stopped meds until then. I think it was overkill. With overall chol down to 2,3 and LDL .8.
