I was recently referred to a chest pain clinic following complaint of breathlessness and mild chest pain during exercise and other strenuous work. While rest ECG came normal the stress ECG had an abnormal reading.
I was put on heart medication and have been advised an angiogram which is due next week. While the chest pain have not been that often and is only triggered if I do a strenuous work like running or climbing stairs, I do get frequent and long lasting left arm and shoulder pain. These also gets triggered when I am resting or when I wake up in the morning. However there is no associated chest pain. Could it signal unstable angina and should I be worried and visit A&E or wait for angiogram first? I suffer from anxiety which doesn't help and might be triggering it.
