Heart block/Wenckebach

Hi. I'm knew to this site and just wanted to hear from others. I've recently been diagnosed with second degree heart block and Wenckebach! Not 100% sure what that is. GP tried to explain but just felt like a rabbit caught in headlights. Got to see a cardiologist but that's not until January! What should I do. Is it life threatening? I'm getting myself worked up plus I'm on two lots of blood pressure tablets now. Thanks for reading my message.
