Terrible amount of bruising returned - 6 months after heart attack

Hello all and I hope someone here can give me some advice. I had a heart attack in April and emergency op for a stent. Went home with the big pack of the usual meds and no warning about the bruising - which came from nowhere and really upset me. Once I understood it was due to the meds, I felt calmer and also the bruising became less frequent. But the last few weeks, I have again become covered with them. Never an idea what I banged to get the bruise and some of them are very sore and with a lump under. I have also been really tired again - like post HA. I have had no change in meds. I have done cardiac rehab at the gym and go 4 times a week, probably fitter than I was before. But I don't like this bruising and extreme tiredness coming back. Anyone help? Thank you!

Hi

I think the busing is normal due to blood thinners

Like you say cant remember hurting myself and can feel a lump in bruising

My Son says I have to cover up if going out with him as people will think I am being abused .

We spend time comparing worse bruises at Rehab

I also have days when I feel more tired and when this happens I give into it rest or sleep

HA end of May

My arms are usually covered in bruises and I try to cover them up incase people think my husband is the cause lol. I've no idea where they come from I had assumed I had bumped myself but maybe they are nothing to do with bumping. Incidentally it is always my arms that bruis e.

I have black legs from Dog jumping on me

Arms from bumping into doorways and picking fruit in the garden Raspberries are worse .

Dont even go to what happens if you hit the bars on public transport when sitting .

Life is fun

What I don't understand is I had the mess of bruises when I first started on the meds post HA 6 months ago. Then, they seemed to improve. now - all of a sudden the past few weeks - dozens of them again. It's the return which is worrying me.

Could you be bumping into things a bit more again.? I can’t say I’ve noticed periods when I haven’t bruised but I admit I’m so used to it I hardly notice any more.

Good advice from Rose54 to perhaps have a word with your GP about it.

Take care 💐

Sympathy went out the door when you mentioned my favourite yummy raspberries lol.

I can relate to bruising arms by bumping into doors but with me it’s door handles that are the killers. Luckily for me I don’t have to get on the busses now my husband has retired so that area of me should be ok ...but I don’t know for sure !

Hang on to your sense of humour

Lmao ..... but no worry I can let you have the 19 lbs back ..... after my HA I lost quite a bit that I was happy to lose I admit but a good few lbs found their way back so I’ve plenty to spare now. 🥴

Have you had any dietary changes or added healthy supplements? Unlikely but possible, garlic in large quantities, omega 6 supplements etc . I would check in with GP though. Much as I dislike Mr Google's addictive side maybe look at natural anticoagulants and reduce those foods and see.

Have a word with your doctor. It's just about the time when side effects of certain tablets really kicked in for me with extreme tiredness. I had to drag myself out of my chair. For me it was the beta blocker causing it. If you are still on dual platelet therapy the bruising is normal
