Breathlessness

Hi hope everyone is well. I have been pretty good since my heart attack in September 2017. I have 7 stents and have been taking the meds. Over the past couple of weeks I have started to experience breathlessness and a heavy feeling in my chest (No pain). My GP has just signed me off for 2 weeks as am awaiting a perfusion test. Does anyone else experience these feelings. Am feeling guilty that I'm not at work as we are already short staffed but the nursery isn't helping the breathlessness. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

I would suggest you need further investigation to rule out anything untoward. Your GP should be able to refer you to a Rapid Access Chest Clinic or similar. Failing that there is nothing to stop you presenting yourself to an Urgent Care or Walk In Centre when the symptoms start. You could even ring 111 and ask for advice and don't forget the BHF Helpline 0300 330 3311.
