All good for 3 months since the stent. Nine rehab sessions with no problems, Swam 20 lengths at full blast, carried my golf bag for 18 fast holes yesterday and even managed a trip to Japan. My dad mentioned yesterday i seemed happiest since I first had the Angina diagnosed.
Then this am - BAM. Helping girls warm up for footie and the familiar deep ache got me between the shoulder blades. I really thought it was gone.
Guess that means the stent has blocked.
Seems the things you did the day before you warmed up might have been too much .
Get in touch with the surgeon who did your stent and ask about the other arteries and how far you should push yourself and wether a swim sprint followed by 18 fast holes and a football warm up , could be too much ?
Idea is that the stent has fixed the issue for the short term - at least that’s how it was explained by the consultant. I’ve done 9 rehab sessions and pushed pretty hard with no reaction. If pipes are all open and flowing - I don’t think there are any circumstances that would result in the pain returning. So my guess is that the stent has blocked or there’s a new block somewhere.
You need to get professional answers to those questions and pretty soon .
My only non professional answer would be , indegestion mirrors Angina symptoms and it could be that , I had it in my shoulders and Jaw , fortunately for me my GP treat the indegestion with ranitidine and gave me an ECG for the suspected angina .
I had both .
Get yourself on the phone to the ward at least and at best to your surgeons secretary ASAP .
I’ve got an appt with the rehab team this week. Can’t go through the consultant as I paid to go private and can’t afford it again.
A+E is free if you think your stent is blocked or your having angina . GP too .
I understand about going private , I waited 13 months for my triple on 90% in 3 coronary arteries ,was very tempted but thankfully got advice about keeping fit and active which got me through the wait and the op a tiny bit easier.
Sorry to hear this returns. Was ache between shoulder blades consider Angina, I ask because I have ache there too for a long time but never thought it relates to my heart, thought it was my bad posture; that is until now, after being diagnosed with severe blockage in my LCX. Did you have Heart Attack or long term angina? Appreciate to know more of your condition. Thanks.
I had Angina - and symptom was a deep ache between the shoulders.
Maybe it's a blocked stent, but maybe it's not. One incident like you describe won't be conclusive either way. See your doctor, have some tests.

Not necessarily the stent. Maybe other arteries narrowed. You need tests
I’ve still got one rehab session left - will see what they have to say. Seems unlikely another artery could have narrowed that much since November.
Your angiogram when they fitted the stent should have showed any potential blockages and it would have been on your discharge letter. Mine were. I had to go for a second pressure angio because they found two potentially bad blockages of 79% and 64%. They turned out not to be that bad but I'm aware they are still there.
I had another at 30% blocked that consultant wasn’t concerned about. But seems unlikely it could have deteriorated that much. I’m still confused how exercising flat out didn’t cause pain last week, but a gentle bit of movement yesterday did.
Muscular? Yesterday I did just an hour in the garden but fairly hard with a lot o f bending and planting and weeding- no problems at all. Today all I did was go out to take a few photos and I was gasping for breath. Not everything is heart related although it's temping to think it is and quite normal.
I’m hoping you’re right. Been down that road before (hoping it was muscular). Pain seemed very familiar though.
Afraid muscular is what I assumed my HA was. I only had indigestion and [pain behind the edge of my shoulder blade which iget often with muscle spasms in trigger points. I thought nothing different until the pain went down my arm. It turned out to be a 100% blockage of the artery at the back of the heart. Now I worry at every little pain so I quite understand.
