I was diagnosed with CVD (cardio-vascular disease) 18 years ago and have had angina, 3 MIs (Myocardial Infarctions or heart attacks), angioplasty, a huge aneurysm, by-pass surgery, AF (atrial fibrillation) and medically-managed heart failure. I am now 72 and pretty well all things considered. I keep fit, lead a full life and follow doctors' orders!

I'm New Here
Hello and welcome to the forum! Well done indeed. There is not a lot one can add as I think a positive attitude and keeping to the rules are key factors in managing your heart issues. The number of people I have come across in my cardiac journey that still smoke, ear carp or both beggars belief!
Thank you for posting, as someone recently diagnosed and coming to terms with their own ‘journey’ over the last couple of weeks it’s hugely encouraging to read such a positive story.
Thank you
No problem Susie
After so much experience - not that I would want it again and would not wish it on anybody - I have become what some doctors call an 'expert patient'. I mean that humbly because after a while I realised what I didn't know and what a variety of heart conditions exist out there. Everyone is different in this and so many other respects.
