LAD heart attack two weeks ago and 2 stents. 40 percent EVflux

After 5 days in hospital released and with lots of heart meds. Feeling lost and a bit hopeless. But should be getting better. Feel faint and cold every morning. Sleeping only a few hours a night. Short of breath after a short walk. A sore rhis morning between my legs with spots of blood and aches and pains Will this get better and will get some of life back🤔

Hello, I had the same but in June, I am 45%. Felt devastated and like you had all sorts of symptoms. Some real but many in my head. Even went back to A+E as I was convinced I was having another heart attack. Was like you breathless and my wrist hurt a lot.

There is light at the end of the tunnel and it does get better. I started walking as soon as I felt like it and now am getting close to the level of fitness I had before the attack.

The meds are a bitch and I hate taking everyone of them, but I press on.

Just how I felt after my heart attack 6 weeks ago. The breathlessness could be the ticagralor; it is one of the side effects but should ease off.There's NO follow up, not even a GP appointment. I was just given a very technical discharge letter and instructions to get my GP to arrange two blood tests. You feel to have been just dumped. Have you been given a rehab nurse yet? If not, chase it up. If you have then ring her/him about any worries you have. Alternatively try the wonderful nurses from the British Heart Foundation. I also have spinal problems so I have great difficulty working out whether pains are heart or spine. I do get very worried. I had problems with one of my tablets that had to be changed then the chemist sent a different brand of another that was bright yellow and brought me out in hives. Just take it easy and don't try to do what you did before. Give your heart time to heal before pushing the exercise and work on changing your diet. After 5 weeks I've stopped smoking; changed about 75% of our diet and bought a pedometer to try to increase my steps although as a wheelchair user, that's difficult. Just don't try to do it all at once.

BIggest surprise I had was only stopped from driving for 4 weeks and didn't need to tell DVLA or insurers yet not allowed to vacuum or mow the lawn for 6 to 8 weeks

I think you have to tell the insurer's but not the DVLA. Stay away from the mowers 😊

Haha sore point- I was clipping the lawn edge yesterday while hubby mowed the lawn and clipped through the mower cable!

Glad you are getting it together must be tough with your spinal issues as well. I just went to the rehab today and they have been really good and given some reassurances. I have changed my diet trastically and already lost over one stone. The meds are a nightmare to get used too but I am getting there. But it can scarey if they change it sorry to hear that to you. I am going to take you re advise and relax my rehab startes in two weeks. Hope your recovery gets better and thanks for the advise. Contact me if you like

I booked an appointment with my GP two days ago just for a chat and to be sure I was doing what I should ( Since they weren't bothered about seeing me). I got high praise for doing so well and also told off for trying to do so many things at once. Just told to be patient and take it steadily. I won't feel safe until I've had the pressure angiogram to see how well the LAD Is working- that's the next biggest blockage. I Just wish the breathlessness would ease off. Some reassurance that it is the tablet would help.

Did they open up your LAD with a stent ? I am the same hope my angiogram gets better than 40 percent apparently the 6 week one more accurate and see how the the drugs are helping. All a bit unnerving waiting. It is good the dr said you are doing well. Take it easy my friend.

The LAD is the one they have to look at next. The scan suggests it's 75% blocked but they need to do a pressure angiogram to see how well blood is getting through it. The one i had the heart attack in was the artery behind the heart; can't remember the name. They fitted 2 stents in that one. They reckon the LAD Is 75% blocked and the other front one is 65% blocked. Waiting is horrid because I don't know whether the breathlessness is the ticagrelor or the LAD. I'm at 6 weeks now and no appointment yet although my rehab nurse says I'm top of the list when they send out the next set of appointments- whenever that may be.

Just got the appointment. pre Op next Wednesday and pressure angiogram on LAD on November 9th. Scared already.
