Moderate Stenosis

Hi,

I have been advised that I have mild to moderate stenosis in the mid potion of the right coronary artery with a score of 43.

My GP has been advised to treat me with aspirin and statins, as I am already on aspirin and statins after a blood clot scare in 2009 I don't want to take anymore tablets than I am now as I am taking tablets for high blood pressure as well

I have asked my GP for advise but they don't seem to want to help me, I am wondering if there is any way to stop this problem getting any worse, is there any diet I use ?.

Regards,

Bruce

Basically it is a question of lifestyle. Eat a healthy diet (low fat, unrefined carbs, plenty of fruit [but watch the fructose intake] and veg. Maintain a BMI of 25 or less but not below 21. Drink in moderation. DON'T SMOKE! Exercise as appropriate for your age and general health (GP should really advise you). Others will come along with different views particularly as regards diet so you will have read all the advice and make a decision!
