New , still awaiting diagnoses my anxiety’s through the roof
So sorry to hear that Kirsty. Please keep nagging for the tests and results and try to stay calm. Easy to say, eh? My surgeon pointed out that I should stop worrying as it was more likely to kill me than a heart attack! I took up yoga and meditation. At first I felt like a numpty and couldnt do the cross legged bit. Still, its a good video and takes my mind to another place, as does soothing music. Hope you get good news soon.
Hi
Kirstycking,
I am sorry to hear that you are going through this difficult time. I appreciate that it is easier said that done, but try to continue living as normal a life as you are able to.
When you get these episodes, a few tips that might help-
•lie still in a quiet, dark room to reduce the spinning feeling
•move your head carefully and slowly during daily activities
•sit down straightaway when you feel dizzy
•turn on the lights if you get up at night
•use a walking stick if you're at risk of falling
•sleep with your head slightly raised on 2 or more pillows
•get out of bed slowly and sit on the edge of the bed for a while before standing up
•try to relax – anxiety can make vertigo worse
Try to get as much support as you can from family and friends because this is really important. If you need additional emotional support, please discuss this with your doctor. I hope you have some answers soon!
Take care,
Emily
I get vertigo and been told it’s heart related. Wiv me it was different as I was born with a heart condition and checked often so they could see wat is going on from the echo.
