Unless my heart health is bad I enjoy spices but my heart condition can increase the heat in my mouth

Many people get more sensitive to spices as they age. Medication can also affect the stomach hence many of us are ob Omazrapole or similar tablets.

You should be fine with mild spicing buy should avoid really hot spicing. Some of the chilli style challenges could potentially cause a cardiac event!

No I just like spicy food but I need to stop the takeaway thing and start to cook my own, I was just putting it out there as a hot healthy option maybe 😋

Simple answer is yes, you can eat chilis and spicy food. I found I needed something with a bit of a kick in it to get my taste buds active again post op and I have spicy food reasonably often without any issues.

Hi Hardwick. I love spicy food. The only limit to the amount of chilies that I eat is if I have a run the following day for obvious reasons. Since my bypass two years ago i have come to love spicy stir fries, Chili con carne made with veggi mince and spicy paella.

Enjoy and happy sweats
