HealthUnlocked over Christmas and New Year

Hello everyone! Hope you're all gearing up for the holiday season. Firstly, thank you so much to all of our members who contribute and especially to our Heart Stars who have been giving out some wonderful advice since we launched.

Just to let you know that over Christmas and New Year our offices are closed, so there won't be any of the BHF clinical team available to respond to any queries via HealthUnlocked or our Heart Helpline telephone and email services.

These services will close at 3pm on Friday 22nd December and will reopen on Tuesday 2nd January at 9am. We'll be extremely busy catching up with the backlog from the holidays so we're really sorry in advance if there are any delays in getting back to you.

It's also important to remember that for some people the festive season can be a sad and sometimes lonely time. Reaching out to people nearby who might be on their own, or even supporting someone on Health Unlocked can make a massive difference. There are also some wonderful services like the Samaritans, who you can call on 116 123. For older people, Silverline can also provide some support on 0800 470 8090. We also have a Heart Matters article all about support over the festive period, which you can find here: bhf.org.uk/heart-matters-ma...

As usual, any urgent medical issues should be addressed by calling 111 or 999.

Take care of yourselves, and of each other.

Chris
