Hello everyone, I was recently moved from Losartan to Entresto and was told it should make me feel better less likely I’d need A&E etc. Unfortunately though it seemed to make me feel worse than I did on Losartan, more breathless, lightheaded etc. I really hoped it would work for me but after few weeks on low dose then mid dose, the heart failure nurse said I should go back on Losartan 25mg. I’m not sure if that’s it or I will get another chance to try Entresto as I’ve read it’s the new wonder drug for people like myself suffering with heart failure. Anyone els on this forum taking Entresto? I’d really appreciate reading anyone else’s experiences.

Hi, I switched from enalapril maleate to entresto at the start of this year. I had a few weeks of nasty side effects (mostly extreme dizziness) but have no noticeable side effects at all now. I feel I have had more energy this year and less spells of feeling really unwell. Not a miracle cure though, so I guess you need to weigh up the benefits vs side effects, like anything else. Good luck :)

Hi I went from ramipril then candesartan and now entresto, the lowest dose, I have been on it for about 6 weeks, I do think it's better than the previous meds, not too dizzy and my cough has almost gone, but still really tired, not sure if anything will help that, char

Hi Char, think maybe heart nurse took me off too quickly perhaps should of given Entresto more time. From what I've heard it's a good drug apparently tests have shown people taking it are doing better, just I seem to do better on Losartan. Perhaps one day I'll get another chance on Entresto.

Hi getting the meds right is such a pain, my nurse wanted to increase the entresto, because she thinks I should be doing a bit better, but my blood pressure was only 80/60, wind the clock on a week I went to my cardiologist in a different hospital today sat in traffic for an hour was 17 mins late all harassed and yes the blood pressure went up to 110/90 and he doubled the beta blocker, no mention about the entresto at all, you can't win lol char x

Hi Char can’t believe your blood pressure is even lower than mine I suffered severe heart damage due to having heart attack for over 10hrs (thought it was indigestion) but heart team have been really good getting me on heart rehab and right meds. So I’m coping quite well these days even trying mindfulness to help with anxiety. Wishing you and everyone on this forum a long and meaningful life.
