I have been prescribed DOVONEX Ointment for different areas, I have now been given ENSTILAR Cutaneous spray which both work in their own ways, the Enstilar is not to be sprayed near your face but I spray on my finger & transfer to the affected areas behind my ears & lower neck which moisturises the areas & stops any itching & flaky spots, hands are then washed as it contains a steroid, the Dovonex is used on my knees & elbows with the same application method. The Enstilar is not as greasy & does not give a plastered look to affected areas.

Hello, I use a shampoo bar from lush, no hairdryer and take vitamin D supplements and my scalp psoriasis has been seriously reduced from 1/3 scalp to a small 1cm patch

Hi SarahLJones,

Heat certainly makes my scalp more sensitive to scaling and rashes. I use Sensinol shampoo, it has helped a lot.

I use Enstilar spray and Capasal shampoo. Capasal is brilliant for calming down itching and reducing plaques.

Hi Sarah, I find the warm weather helps my scalp psoriasis as the heat moisturises my skin, drinking plenty of water not Alcohol also helps as Alcohol causes your Kidneys to get rid of more moisture than you are taking in, I also use ENSTILAR sprayed on my finger & placed over the effected parts as it shouldnt be sprayed near the face when needed.

High Sarah, I find that the heat helps my problem as long as I stay off alcohol & rehydrate myself with water it will clear up, It makes me wonder if that is why the stress connection as people may drink more with stress problems,Alcohol as people probably know causes the the body to overactivate the kidneys causeing your body to excrete liquid & if this is replaced with more Alcohol then the problem is increased, I know on holiday people tend to drink more Alcohol but it also should be paired with plenty of water as the people in the know say tea/coffee also agrevates the problem as it does not replenish our Hydration the same as water does as our bodies are made up with a large percent water.
