I’m new to all of this, I am very overweight and just want inspiration to lose some pounds! Been in an abusive relationship for over 20 years and am single for 2 years but have lost all my confidence and those pounds have steadily piled on. I want to find myself again and get thin and healthy along the way...

I’m happy to hear that you are in a journey to get healthy and fit. I too have struggled and it will be nice to be in a community of like minded individuals to help one another. Sounds like maybe you’ve been using food as a means of comforting yourself. Would that be accurate? Not judging you as I can relate.

hiya, i am also new to this as posted in past but never really got involved so i'm glad i have someone in same boat, so happy to hear your no longer in that relationship, i am on a journey of self love, learning to love myself and what i see in the mirror, i'm starting small by just adding some veg to my meals and smaller portions, also trying to drink more water, i have already noticed a difference in my face shape and skin. losing weight is such a hard thing to do physically and mentally so i'm totally with you!!

Your first step sounds like you already did by leaving the abusive relationship. The next step don't return. Now it is time to love yourself and learn about yourself. As for your weight loss start small. Go for a ten-minute walk five days a week. Start there, with a small goal and then work from there. Add more veggies and fewer carbs is a great way to start diet modification. If you are on medication, or a diet prescribed by your doctor a Health Coach may be able to help you learn new habits and stay on track. Good luck and best wishes.
