Hey guys. 21 year old with weight problems. I’m 210 lbs 5’0. I try very hard to stay positive about my appearance but it’s been hard lately. I’d really like to lose at least 40 lbs and to get back to the weight 170ish like I was in high school. Every year it just seemed to be going up until I hit 19. I could say a million things I hate about my body but I’d say my stomach is the worst. The weight just kinda hangs down. I struggle very much with clothing sizes to try to cover mg stomach and to make it look smaller. I wish my back felt better and I wish my sex life was better. Any suggestions for anything at all??

REading your post was like revisiting my younger self. I am now 57 years old, have always struggled with weight, and here is my advice - LOVE yourself. Honestly, I wasted SO MUCH TIME in my life worrying about my weight, and in the end, does my weight make me any less of a woman? I am attractive, active, loving, responsible, adventuresome and happy. But it took me way too long to get here!!! Yes, i have lost a ton of weight MANY times in my life, but THAT didn't really make me happy. You need to find your happiness DURING your life, not when you get to that IDEAL weight, which really doesn't exist. Wear clothes that make you feel confident, and BELIEVE in yourself. I wish i could hug you, and reassure you in person, but honestly, let go of preconceived ideas of a perfect body and live YOUR perfect life. TRUST me, you will be happier in the end.

I understand how you feel. My weight has been steadily going up as well and, even though I try to stay positive, it gets to me at times. I try to keep healthy foods in my fridge that way I know that I'm as healthy as I can be...even if I overeat or binge one day. It's essentially about health over being skinny. That's why self love is so important! If you do t respect yourself you will be subject to yo-yo diets. Try to cherish your body and feed it right. This also means treating yourself in moderation. I do love sweets, myself.
