Hi Sustercat Im sorry to hear you're having an emotionally rough time.

We all know it is not easy to control our eating when we feel so upset and raw.

The other day I posted some advice about preparing small regular healthy snacks to keep you well fed thru the day and less vulnerable .eg: nuts, humous, hard boiled eggs, full fat greek yoghurt, 30g lump if cheese, and then a proper dinnner later.

However, unfortunately I have just had a couple of traumatic days on a personal level, and although I prepared a healthy chicken casserole last night, I then just couldn't face it . It went back in the fridge, and I simply attacked the red wine, toast and chocolate cake - hmm not good - so this morning I just feel muggy and lumpy.

Ashamed to say I didn't follow my own advice BUT I will do better today !!! Hope you do too 😊

Hello Sustercat, I have just found this post Darling, and trust that you are now in a Much Better Place than you were when you wrote it seven months ago. However, we all know how Life Goes: it showers Perfumed Petals over us one month then on another out we go prepared for a perfumed time and find ourselves regaled from moody skies with a sprinkling of Life's Turds...

Soz, not a nice image, but you know the sort of thing. And it's keeping our courage and our resolutions going in the Turdy Times which is the biggest challenge, isn't it? It's easy to be good during the Perfumed Ones.

So I don't always manage to be good when slumped on the sofa and Peed Awf with life's latest Poo-fest, a giant drink and an elephant-sized packet of Maltesas feel like Just the Thing...

Please see today's post; it's the only answer I have: when Vanity doesn't work as a spur, then the urge to stay Alive and Kicking for the longest time is stronger.

My Love to You. Betty xx
