Thinking of my little sister today - the anniversary of her death 4 years ago. The pain never goes away as her death was entirely unexpected - she died on the operating table and I didn't get to see her before she died. I keep thinking about what she went through and that I wasn't by her side ( not well at the time) because I didn't expect her to die. She was 51yo. Been crying over her today, death is so final and we often don't get to say what we need to say - my sister wasn't religious though I am ( Anglican). So to all those out there who've lost someone they loved I stand with you today - I can feel my sister as if she's still here. She has a grandson now and Oh how she'd have loved to meet him. RIP Rachel. I miss you so much.

Hello KaraKim A very warm welcome to our friendly Community.

I'm so very sorry you have lost your dear sister, so young and in such such and traumatic circumstances.

I'm not at all surprised you've been upset today and many others too, our close losses are always with us, we just find a place in our heart that keeps our love for them safe.

I also lost a relative in exactly the same circumstances, and that's so hard to put into any perspective, thinking of you <3

I’m so sorry for your loss. I know your pain. My big sister died of a massive stroke, completely unexpected. She was so fit & healthy so hard to except. I miss her so very much.

She now has 5 grandchildren, I think of them as my adopted grandchildren. I look at them & feel sad at what she/they have missed out on but know she lives on in them. Take care x
