I said yes a little, I have depression and ME anyway but it's gradually got worse they're are other stresses too.

Hello mysmugcat Thanks for your reply. Depression seems to go hand in had with bereavement as far as I can see and that may possibly be a contributing factor for you and I sorry to read that you have ME, it must be very difficult for you at times.

Take care

Anxiety gone through the roof. Lost weight. More panic attacks. Less restful sleep. Anyone with any relaxation tips or “safe space tips”?

Oh Will2015abc so sorry to read this. Please do try Mindfulness Body scan on YT, It only takes 10-12 mins and you can record this if you want to and definitely worth listening to when you have these attacks as it focuses you mind and calms you. I've tried it and still use the technique during the night when I can't sleep. hope it helps.

It impacted my health greatly. Been in and out of hospital with no answers. Developed sepsis from reoccurring infections, in the same year I got diagnosed with endometriosis and had to have surgery. The stress just made existing conditions so much worse. Insomnia, anxiety, depression. I see myself getting better now though health wise, although it’s still not how it was

Hi Aisha,

Really sorry to read your health has been so poor, you've really been through it. I really hope you have turned a corner now and your health will positively improve.

Yes I have said yes a little and suffer with depression and have been under a huge amount of stress which has made me worse. My health was not very good anyway but has deteriorated since.

Take care to you all x

That's such a shame Hidden these health issues always seem magnified after a bereavement. I wish you well soon.

My loss in 2014 was preceded by three years of my caregiving with the aid of a home hospice team. I was in my late seventies and assumed that, as my father did while caring for my mother when he was 80, I would drop dead from stress to my heart. However, I am 87 and living pretty well in an independent living facility.

Now you jaykay777 are the exception I think! I believe you are a very positive lady who manages to cope with all that life throws at you x

I feel tired easily and sometimes find it too hard to think about anything complex. Almost as if I just can't be bothered.

We have just lost another immediate family member. Our 4th in 3 years. This doesn't include the loss of other family members and beloved pets.

I struggle to keep faith. :/

Hi Lbk64

I'm not surprised you feel drained and easily tired after several losses, your emotions have not had time to settle. Do take care of yourself.

Thank you Chloe. Trying to do little things that I enjoy along with the everyday things. One day at a time.

I lost my younger Sister to suicide and then three months later our Mother died, all very unexpected. It effected a long term health condition (Ulcerative Colitis) but also my decision making. I became very rash with money not bothering and gambling online which is so out of character, when I spoke to my younger Brother who lives miles away he had exactly the same thoughts about money and had gone out and purchased a number of cars and things he didn't need and couldn't afford.

Hi bunty65

That's so awful for both of you, these things have a dreadful effect on our health both physically and emotionally. I am pleased that you are both supporting each other and specialised Bereavement Counselling would benefit you both, you may want to talk to your brother about this too.

Take good care of yourself.
