Vaginal and rectal issues?

Hope everyone understands and appreciates that I am not trying to be too graphic or crude but have nowhere else to turn. I have a history of endometriosis (stage 4 aka quite severe) and as such have had multiple surgeries etc so have always had uterine etc pain. Now since the diagnosis of probable Behcets over the past year I am having bladder, rectal and vaginal problems. Specifically, my vulva are always swollen, red and painful and the entrance to the vagina feels like it's ripping and is also fed and inflamed. The rectum and anus feel full and it hurts to sit frequently. Does anyone have these issues? Any similar stories or guidance would he appreciated. Thanks.

I appreciate that you are not trying to be crude, you explained the problems very professionally. Personally I have had a lot of the problems you mentioned. Some ointments may be of assistance but you should use them under the guidance of a doctor. Elma is good for taking away the pain, and diprosone is a good anti inflammatory (I might stand corrected on that one). I had a horrible allergic reaction to a cream with sulphur in it so be careful - as we keep stressing we all react differently to medications and treatments etc. Years ago I helped with problems “down there” by keeping everything very dry. This meant wearing a good panti-liner and sometimes changing my underwear in the middle of the day (sorry if that is too much information).

All the best, Lesley

Thank you Lesley for replying. I really appreciate it. I am going to ask my GYN about the meds you mentioned. I also started pelvic floor PT and she has some natural tips that I started to use. If you are interested, I can backchannel you.

Hey, not vulgar at all. I use the blue inhaler on my fufu, yes it helps! It contains steroids, a quick spray relieves the pain. Try it!

Wow! What a brilliant idea. Are we talking about Albuterol here? Or pulmicort? I guess the point is the steroid helps!

Any inhaler as long as air has Steroid in it. I use Salbutamol.

I’ve been having the same issues all year. I did pelvic floor physical therapy and experienced some relief. Unfortunately my insurance was not interested in me completing the therapy. Since then I’ve pretty much abstained from sex and I eat very small meals, if anything at all the manage my pain. Not the best alternative, I would have much rather continued with the therapy, especially for the opening of my vagina. You could have a yeast sensitivity as I have. It’ll present itself as red and inflamed instead of a typical yeast infection. Good luck.
