Ulcer Biopsy

Hi Friends, this morning I had a mouth ulcer biopsied to be sent off and tested for Vasculitis. It wasn’t fun. Has anyone had this done? If so, what were the results? Thanks!

I had a vagina ulcer done. Not fun. Pathology came back negative for viral and bacterial properties. Positive for inflammation. That’s it. Besides me scream walking into a pharmacy like a cowboy who rode a million horses that day and slamming a prescription down on the counter with a tearful- I HAD A BIOPSY DONE PLEASE FILL IT”

That’s all I got for yah.

Hopefully you find out something else that may be more helpful. But no news is also still good news so don’t forget that.

Yes I had 2 biopsies from inside my mouth, one from scrotum and one from blister-like lesions on my elbow. The ones in mouth showed non-specific inflammation that suggested possible Behçet’s, and the elbows something else that was unrelated to Behçet’s- possible duel auto-immune related illnesses. This was also done at the same time as a large amount of blood tests were carried out, all returning negatives, except for one test which returned a positive for me having been infected with Epstein-Barr virus in the past.

Quite confusing for me and the doctors. I’m interested to know how yours come back.

Thanks for your reply. I’m not quite sure what they expect to find or how this test will even help. I still don’t have the results but will post them as soon as I get them.

Thanks for asking! It just showed inflammation. Which we expected for Behcets.
