How do I regain my lost vision?

Hi everyone ! I have been losing my vision and was wondering if any one would be able to advise me how to save or regain the the lost clarity. Any advice or suggestion will highly be appreciated

Hello iffi and welcome.

Sorry to hear you are losing your vision- are you seeing (no pun intended) a BD eye specialist? That's the best person to advise you, What can be done depends on the cause of loss of vision and treatment available in your particular case.

I did and was prescribed prednisolone acetate, which I am not happy to use instead I use only when I have the symptoms but I have been experiencing blurred vision and blind spots, it all started with my right eye going red few months later I was told I have BD but now my left has started going red, used the drops under the supervision of the eye specialist but I can not see for more then 4/5 metres clearly.

If you are not using the treatment you were given as instructed it's hard to advise.

The golden rule on this site is that you NEVER EVER leave any thing to do with the eyes, but that any changes, worsening or new symptoms, problems with medications etc are seen to urgently.

I suggest you contact your BD Eye specialist, either directly, via his Secretary or you GP and get an urgent appointment.

Hi Tigerfeet and erssie !

Truly I am not using the treatment according to the doctor's, but to be frank when I read about the side effects steroids can give, I get freaked out as it is I have a family history of heart attacks, diabetes and worst of all kidney failure.

I went to a eye specialist and he says I have VITREOUS DETACHMENT based on his assessment and my symptoms which are flashes of light, blurred vision. I was really not going to go( thank you guys for pushing me) thought to myself its just part of BD. the good thing is that he said I will regain my vision on this one in few weeks hopefully.
