what causes pain during sex in women.....cause my girlfriend has been complaining every time we get to have sex, what can cause that?

Maybe slow down a bit. More foreplay and mutual stimulation. It’s not all about penetration. And if penetration is painful - wait.

Also make sure neither of you has any underlying infection.

It depends where it is.

If the pain is vaginal, it could be that you are too eager and she's not actually aroused enough and you need to slow down and do some more foreplay. It could be that you're not using enough lube - if she's on the pill, that can make things a little drier! It could be the condoms you're using, if you're using latex ones then switch to none latex ones.

If it's in her uterus and abdominal, it could be PCOS or endometriosis (if she also has heavy, irregular periods or periods which are especially painful, these are very likely culprits, they are the cause of deeper pain for me.) Or things like ovarian cysts.

It could also be a retroverted uterus, which is perfectly normal but can make certain positions uncomfortable or even painful. If you change positions and that helps, it's probably this.

Good advice. There can be other causes such as vulvodynia and vaginismus , and this is why a proper consultation and examination are vital.
