New contraceptive pill, PREGNANCY SCARE!

I’ve just came straight off the mini pill and onto the combined pill. Both have desogestrel but in different amounts.

I am 1 day into taking the combined pill but had unprotected sex the day before whilst I was on the mini pill. Am I still protected against pregnancy as I’m worried that the transition will cause me to ovulate and I’ve heard that sperm can stay inside a woman for roughly 7 days!

I don't know where you read that the transition would cause you to ovulate but its not the case. If your transitioned one straight into the next you are protected .
