Hi,

Please make sure that you are making the right decision. I rushed into having sex with someone when I was your age and I regret this massively. I am saddened that I thought I had to do something. Now that I am with my life partner I SO wish that I had waited longer.

It’s a big thing having sex with someone, you create a connection with that person forever and at 16 you most likely won’t be in a relationship forever. So really think about this. Ask your mum/dad for some advice, or even the nurse at school.

As a girl that emotional connection will never leave her. You don’t have to make yourself look cool to your friends by having sex at a young age.

I understand what it’s like at that age but I just ask you to really think about this as it’s not just a walk in the park. Sex Creates children that’s why you should only have sex with someone you have chosen to spend your life with. My mum got pregnant when a condom ripped as a young 21 year old. These things happen.

Sorry for my rambling, I just care that people don’t make the same mistakes as me

Most supermarkets sell condoms. Also, sexual health clinics give them out free, if the cost is an issue for you.
