Copper coil

Hello! I recently got the coil fitted (8th of Jan). before this, I was on the pill for about 3 months.

Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone had the same symptoms as me? I was lying on my left side, when suddenly there was an awful pain on my right side, it was so painful I had to sit up and nearly cried. Around that time, I was bleeding and still am but I'm pretty sure it's my period now. Although there are no cramps just bleeding, which is unusual :/ please help!

I would go and get it checked. I had mine put in Dec 18 and got it taken out today. After my first period I could feel the sting and then my next one I was 8 days late went to check my stings and couldn’t feel them anymore. I had pain during sexual intercourse and I knew something wasn’t right.

My period arrived yesterday and today I went to my gynaecologist to check the coil. Turned out my sting were bent backwards and that’s why I couldn’t feel them and the coil had moved so I was no longer protected.

Best to be safe then sorry, so go and get it checked. Hope this helps xx
