I’m in so much pain ! I have herpes

What can i do to eliminate some of this pain. I’m in tears because i don’t know what to do .

Apparently lidocaine cream helps numb the pain a lot! I’m tempted to try this if I have painful outbreaks as I’m on a pill break now!

Hi My Love... I feel for you...the blisters are so painful. yes lidocaine is very good. You can get 2% strength from a pharmacy or something like emla cream, both of which numb the areas for a while ... if you are in the uk, get in touch withhva.org.uk, they did stock the 5% lidocaine at one time, hopefully it's still available. Apart from whic it's a very informative site. Alternatively have a word with your gp to see if they can prescribe it for you. lemon balm cream helps a bit but not much. as does aloe vera gel or if you've got a plant growing break off a leaf. Hope that helps. x
