Mirena coil

I have recently had the implant taken out as I was experiencing pretty much every side effect from it. My GP recommended getting the Mirena coil put in as I don’t want children just yet.

I had the Mirena coil in for about a year in 2015. I had to have it taken out because it was sitting too low and it was really uncomfortable. It was also painful during sex and my fiancé would always complain about being stabbed by the threads! I realise now this is not normal and should’ve had it checked before. I don’t really remember having any real issues with it after it had settled down. Due to the problems from before, I’m concerned about getting it again despite the GP saying it’ll be ok this time. I’m currently on Cerazette in the meantime.

Any advice on whether I should get it again???
