Do you mean October 23? With most hormonal contraceptions if you don't take it during your period it takes 7 days to be fully effective, so it's recommended you use a barrier method for those 7 days, personally I waited for an entire cycle with condoms just be certain, but each contraception will say on it how long you have to wait if you don't start during your period
