I have a red spot on the penis that does not hurt. What I do?

I just joined here and sorry no one has responded! I sincerely hope your spot has gone now, but if not, tell us a little more about it ( the photo isnt too clear)

How long has it been there? I see it isnt painful but Is it itchy or hot or flaky?

What size is it? Have a regular partner or have you had sex recently? Condom or not?

Common causes of spots - just plain spots, sebaceous cysts, or blocked hair follicles. Common causes of redness, irritation from rougher sex, from a condom that you have a mild allergy to or where a zip has rubbed, fungal infections, eczema and a few other skin conditions.

To reassure you, Genital warts tend to be flesh coloured and raised, herpes and syphilis cause open sores, (herpes painful, syphilis painless).

Have you ever visited a sexual health clinic? You will find the staff very easy to talk to, any treatment you need is free of charge, and though they don't give people lollipops for being good you will get a bumper bag of free condoms

If it hasn't gone, I would get it looked at more for peace of mind than the chance there is anything to be concerned about.
