Hey ladies.

So the title says it all really. I’m 37!weeks and for the past few weeks I just cannot sleep!!! It’s driving me mad. It’s 2:40 am and I have done some washing and put some new curtains up! I just wish I could sleep. I can’t even lay and relax because it’s so uncomfortable. At this stage I need all the sleep can get!!!! Grrrrrr🥱

I remember that well! I genuinely believed I’d get more sleep once the baby came 😂 Not long time go so hang in there and good luck xx

Sounds like you're nesting!! Want to come to mine, I've got loads of bits and bobs that need doing!?!

These last few weeks are tough, so hope bb doesn't keep you waiting too long now xxx

Aw, really not long to go then. I had a c-section. It was totally fine and has healed nicely. There are some things I learned along the way that might be useful for you:

- huge pants. Right up over your tummy button. I ended up borrowing some from my mum, because what I thought were big pants were nowhere near high waisted enough and sat right on the wound 🤦‍♀️

- you will need both hands free when you want to get up from sitting, so you'll need to put the baby down or have your other half around to take him/her. Something to think about when settling down to feed. I found this for about the first 2 weeks.

- avoid deep/low armchairs or sofas. So difficult to get up from. Or put loads of cushions or pillows behind you.

- if you're breastfeeding, put the baby under your arm like a rugby ball🏉 so s/he doesn't kick the wound

- when you hold the baby like that, all the poo could well run out of the top of nappy💩💩. Put a towel over your breastfeeding pillow

Hope this is useful and hope you can manage to get some rest beforehand xxx

Yeah, you don't realise how we use our abs for absolutely EVERYTHING until you have surgery like this. Just do everything very slowly and carefully - you'll be functional again pretty quickly although you'll have to be careful about certain movements and lifting things for quite a while after xxx

I think any women whose been pregnant can fully sympathise. The last few weeks are tough you are uncomfortable & just want baby here safely time seems to really drag. If you are able to have a nap in the day do that I found that helped! Won’t be long until baby is safe in your arms & will be worth it ❤️ In the meantime maybe do things whilst you have the time things like freezing meals & stocking freezer with easy to do meals is really useful for the early weeks 😁 All the best with the rest of your pregnancy & birth look forward to hearing your birth announcement ❤️❤️❤️ xxx
