The neurologist I saw today said that Azilect will slow the PD progression but it won't effect the symptoms. He said it is the senimet that takes care of the symptoms.
Despite considerable searching through my diet and supplements for sources of substances known to interact with Azilect causing hypertension I still experience a mild rise in b/p for 5-6 hours. For example, in the am before any meds or food my b/p can be 115 to 125.
Today was my first appointment with the Neurologist. He gave me a regular neurological exam and said that from my examination and symptoms he really can't say it is Parkinson Disease for sure but since I have had a favorable result on the carb/levo his tentative diagnosis ( he also referred to it as his working diagnosis ) is PD.
