Supporting autistic friend in Kyiv

I have a friend that I met online who lives in Kyiv/Kiev. He rarely went outside even before the conflict. He doesn't have a job but stays inside with his cat and gets help from some local people.

I suspect he is finding it difficult to deal with the conflict (wouldn't we all) and is just pretending it's not going on. I suspect he may have autism.

I guess technically he should be enlisting in the army but I don't feel he is mentally stable for that.

Has anyone got any tips on how I can support him? I feel I shouldn't talk too much about the conflict in case it makes things worse.

Main ways to Support is just to be there for him, chat, text, video call etc, Loneliness is the worst thing & no he Shouldn't be Signing up to Army duties, he should have Paperwork if any Diagnoses, health issues as if Services or Agencies are helping him already. Maybe ask them for Support to make sure he is Not asked to sign up & can be Advocated for that. Lovely that he has you, I am my adult Son's Carer ASD & other diagnosis etc
