Hi everyone,
When I was 2 years old it was suspected I had autism I went to a child psychologist and then my mum never took me to follow up appointments, recently my sister was diagnosed and my mum has said when she's been at the course to care for her that a lot of stuff sounded like me and that it was easier to spot in me as a child compared to my sister, just been finding it hard as I've always found social situations really hard, always had bowel issues, and never know what to speak about with people, I can't seem to keep a job for more than a year before I become overwhelmed, I'm not waiting on seeing a Psychiatrist to get a diagnosis, I just feel a lot of things will make sense as I've always struggled with food as well, I'm now 24 and don't remember when I was younger going to the psychologist and I was also sent to speech therapy as I didn't speak until I was 5 and never spoke to any of the other kids in my nursery or at school. Just wondering if anyone else hasn't been diagnosed until they're older it's a lot for me to take in
