New Diagnosis

Hi everyone

I’m new here and have recently been told I have SPG7

Yesterday I saw a geneticist who has referred me to her Consultant,Physiotherapist,Occupational Therapist and Speech Therapist

I am on no medication and my only problems at the moment are with steps-I need to hold on to something ( my husband is ideal!) and I have some difficulty saying some words.

My Neurologist says he can’t say wether I’ll get future problems so I’d like to know from you what to expect in the future (I know no one has a crystal ball but thought I would ask anyway)

🙂 You may come in contact with more people diagnosed with your particular type on Facebook. Search ‘hereditary spastic paraplegia’ and several links appear, including spg7 🙂 xB
