New Smart Plug lets you or a friend know if a family member or if you need help......................

Might be worth a look (It`s being tested by Computer-Active)

What a great idea! Not only for the elderly but for anyone on their

own and housebound :-) xB

I myself have carecall (council) with a pendant, so if I have a badd fall I just press the button and they respond via loudspeaker on their carecall box which is connected to my telephone. If they get no response from me - can`t hear me because of distance to carecall box - they contact next of kin on my list I gave them who have keys to access my home.

Only fault with this though is...........................if I knock myself out I can`t press the button on the pendant :-(

John, I arranged for something similar for my Uncle but he

kept forgetting to wear it. He has falls, sometimes passing

out, and as you say, how can you press if you're knocked

out. xB

I still think the idea I suggested here ages ago of a smartphone app using the giroes ect that oreant the screen ect. No movement makes the phone ring and if its not answers it calls for help! (Hint Someone design one)
