Going home???

Might be going home today because I have a nebuliser at home. Knew this would happen if I had it at home. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to go home but not if it means coming straight back in. I had another severe asthma attack last night as well so it's not like I've been free of attacks???

God I want to go home but I'd feel more comfortable if I was in the respiratory ward and they were the ones discussing it.

Can you request to see an AN before discharge?

Yeah will be. But I'm just frustrated. I know I'm fine in the mornings, usually am (and I had a nebuliser this morning lol). But what's the point of discharge when the chance of a severe or life threatening attack (cyanosis, silent chest, etc.) is still really high? But my witching hour asthma wise is usually around 7pm onwards so if I'm discharged before then because I've not needed nebs I'm screwed.

Boggles my mind.

Just spoke to the junior again and she's gonna send a respiratory referral (they didn't do it already?!?).

I am so beyond frustrated with all of this, truly. I'm so tired. I haven't got any fight left in me anymore.

Well, in a series of unfortunate events I got so stressed about going home I gave myself an asthma attack. I really need to work on getting my stress under control but this is exactly why going home wouldn't be good if my lungs are this triggerable. 😐

Thought I'd give an update, got to see the Dr. who decided upon the nebuliser plan and he said I should probably stay in hospital and whenever there's a bed on the respiratory ward (my usual ward) I'll go there. Don't think I'll see the AN as mine isn't working today and the other is in the other hospital in clinic.

Thank you! They are. I'm doing okay, but I've been put back on regular nebs. Not sure why it changed back from PRN unless they got fed up of my wheezing. 😂

Hope you are well!

Yes I know what you mean 100% as most times that I am discharged from Hospital and say that I am not fit enough for home and say that I will be readmitted within 48hrs. they say so be it and then if I am readmitted to A&E they play heck and say that I should not have been discharged , SO WHAT CAN WE DO?
