How should I take my medication?

Hi all, I am currently using 2xfostair morning ; 2xfostair evening and spiriva 1xday.

I am working in two shifts (one week in morning and other one after noon). I have a question about taking fostair when I am working morning shift. Is it okay to use 2xfostair at 12pm before sleep and then 2xfostair at 08am before work? and spiriva regulary at 2pm.

My colleague at work is smoking vape which is killing me and when I feel the smell of it I got instant symptoms (my pulmonologist says it is rather a panic att. then asthma) so I would like to take my medication before work?

Fostair should be taken roughly 12 hourly - it's not the end of the world if it's a bit out but 8am and 12 (not sure if you mean midday or midnight but works out the same) gives a 4 hour and a 16 hour gap. Can you take your Fostair with you and do it when it's a more even gap?

Asthma meds won't help for anxiety or panic attack symptoms and it could well be anxiety related if symptoms are instant - or if relief from inhalers appear to be instant as they don't work that quickly. However having to sit there while someone is vaping away must be horrible!

Breathing exercises such as the breathing rectangle on this site from the British Lung Foundation are very good and do work when done for just a couple of minutes when you get the symptoms. No-one would notice you doing them.

I was thinking about taking it at 00:00 CET evening and then 08:00 CET morning so it is 8 hours between. is that okay?

I will try with breathing exercises it mostly is panic attack

I think it should be ok. The ideal is 12 hours but plenty of people do it say 10 and 14 hours. I suppose you might find it's more noticeable coming up to midnight that you're due a dose - but maybe not, your body might adapt.

I used to be the same taking my meds (Fostair, Spiriva, Salbutamol, Montelukast, Carbosysteine + BP meds) 7am when getting up and 1am when going to bed. I found my asthma settled down better and was more controlled when I started taking meds at 7am and 7pm, I still do 8 years on
