I started these a week ago for my copd to clear the mucas off my lungs

It helps

Hi, like you have copd and asthma. I tried carbocisteine for a couple of months with no real effect. Its suppose to thin the thick phlegm from your chest so you can cough up.. This never happened for me don't produce phlegm it stays clogging my chest. If you coughing more this will exhaust you and inability to do simple tasks is depressing. Im so sorry you feeling like this but honestly you not alone. You've probably isolated with your copd and to be honest its scary to do what we did prior lockdown. Ive a terrible chest at the moment on amoxil and nebulisers if I need them but try not too become dependent on them. I do hope you feel better soon. Maybe you need your bloods checking my vit D very low despite taking this during lockdown. If I can help let me know. 😄

I haven’t heard tiredness being a side effect of carbocisteine. However you started antibiotics at same time for flare up. Would have thought more likely that this flare up is causing immense tiredness that you describe. Basically you are not very well so no real surprise that feeling tired and low in mood.Hope you feel better soon.
