Help! Asthma getting out of control?!?!

Hi everyone! I have eosinophilic asthma and was discharged by my consultant last year and to go back to him if things get out of control again. Here’s my dilemma...’out of control’ to my consultant means a low peak flow and the need to use steroids. But I have been coughing for the last two months....a wet asthma like cough, can’t laugh without coughing cough!! Peak flow is actually fine. So should I go and see my consultant again? Or is this just a given thing that asthmatics have to just put up with?

My meds were all working perfectly until this cough started.

I am on fostair 200, montelukast and fexofenadine. I also suffer from rhinitis that also effects my asthma!

Thanks in advance people! 😊👍🏻

It does sound like something is changing, could you try your asthma nurse or go first and if not getting anywhere then contact your consultant

I have eosinophilic asthma but all it really did to me was inflame my airways and none of the inhalers did any good. A bad day my peak flow would be down to 140 and then it’s a struggle to do anything at all. On injections now and all is good again.
