Hi everyone I have another query as a fairly recent diagnosed asthmatic. After three asthma exacerbations in three weeks I was lucky to have an appointment with my respiratory consultant just to check what was going on and whether it was asthma or my bronchiectasis. When I did the FeNO I scored 51 so obviously the lungs inflamed. What surprised me was I'm on high dose Relvar, Incruse Ellipta and had been taking Prednisone for 3 weeks, this is the same score I had 18 months ago when first diagnosed and not taking any medication. I'm now taking Montelukast and fingers crossed everything settled down but surprised FeNO so high is this usual? Thank you for sharing any advice.

The 51 just shows that you’ve been experiencing issues recently and inflame in a way that’s easy for them to measure (not everyone has a FENO that represents their issues).
I’ve had stupidly high scores in the past, despite pred and IV meds and all the inhalers. It really does just show what you already knew. You were having issues and needed something more to lower your score.
Hope this helps
