Symbicort and duoresp spiromax

Are symbicort and duoresp spiromax the same? I am asking because symbicort is not working for me and I was exchanged for a duoresp spiromax. What should I do?

A good website to check on comparing inhalers is rightbreathe.com It lists what they have in them and the strength.

It appears they contain the same meds but the delivery is different. If you have tried the new inhaler for at least 4 weeks and haven't found any noticeable improvement in your symptoms I would see your GP or asthma nurse in order to discuss trying a different inhaler. There are several in this group of meds (LABA inhalers) and sometimes it takes a little trial and error to find the one that suits you best.

I swapped from Symbicort to Fostair and have definitely done better because of the change. The particles are finer and are inhaled much more effectively.

Always have a follow up appointment about 6 weeks after starting a new medication so that you can discuss whether or not it's working as expected and if you're having any side effects. Just because a medication treats asthma it doesn't always follow that it will suit every asthmatic.
