Hi, I have eosinophilic asthma and was txt yesterday with an invite to have the Covid-19 vac. Has anyone else been contacted? I thought I was in group 4, which should be invited around mid Feb.

They said their aim for all of groups 1-4 was to have been vaccinated BY mid Feb. Not that the vaccines would actually be then. They are beginning to invite people in some areas now for group 4.

so great to see the vaccine rolling out quickly in some areas. I had the Pfizer on saturday(through work) the cantre was run so well, very safe. Thankfully had no side effects other than a sore arm. 😊

I'm in Group 4 and had my invite to make a vaccination appointment this morning, by text. I'm booked in for next Tuesday morning. Really surprised, but our town has just opened up more GP practice hubs to deliver more vaccinations. And now the local football stadium is allegedly getting involved, dates tba. Having said that, my sister is in Group 3 and hasn't heard anything.

It all depends on your area I think. Some areas have powered through and had easier access so are now on group 4, others haven’t got half way through group 2 😅. I’m group 2 but haven’t been invited yet, and my area basically only got started this weekend...

Hi bunnynig, I have adult onset asthma and received a text today inviting me to book for the vaccine, I phoned my GP to book my appointment only to be told all available appointments have now been booked up, I'm now waiting to be called when appointments are available again. So yes I would encourage you to contact as soon as you can to book, they go fast.

ooh! My area is behind the rest of the country but we're meant to be starting 24-hour centres. That won't be for everyone but should be helpful for powering through the remaining healthcare workers.

Hoping to get my text soon...

I have the same kind of asthma ( was classed as a severe/brittle on the patient app) and had the Pfizer jab yesterday. Am not in any of the older age groups. Feel totally fine other than an incredibly stiff arm.
