Getting back to some sort of normality!

So after 43 weeks and 3 days I am finally going back to work! It’s been one hell of a rollercoaster with 18 admissions, one to ITU, and numerous issues with OH and management. My consultant agreed that I would be good to get back to some normality, and he included in his report to OH that given the nature of my severe brittle asthma flare ups are inevitable and I can’t stay off work for the foreseeable future “just in case”. I have been redeployed from A&E - that’s too high risk for me, initially to outpatients then likely to move to neonates for a year. It’s been a battle that I’ve had to fight to get people to listen to me regarding my asthma, to get paid from work whilst shielding and then get a report from the consultant.

Keep fighting and don’t give up until you get where you need to be!
