I saw my respiratory consultant yesterday and she has changed my inhalers to Relvar Ellipta and Incruse Ellipta. Has anyone used these before and is it best taking in the morning or the evening x

New Inhaler
Hi, I use Relvar Ellipta and take it in the evening. The company which makes it, GSK, states the following online: ‘Relvar is licensed for one inhalation, once daily, at the same time every day. Studies have confirmed that it can be taken either morning or evening. The final decision on morning or evening dosing should be at your and the patient’s discretion.’
Hi
As Mogget has said, morning or evening. It's down to personal choice. I take mine in the morning as that's what I was used to with other inhalers. Takes a bit of getting used to only taking once a day!
I have been talking relvar for over a year and worked fine for me. Peak flow had been stable and no attacks.
Good luck and hope all works ok for you too.
I was on Relvar Ellipta for about a year but then I had a serious asthma attack...11 day hospital stay and my consultant swapped it. However, saying that I still can’t breathe today and I’m on on high dose Fostair, Spireva & Alvesco , plus montelukast& amilophyline .
I think it seems to be very individual! Some people seem to respond to certain inhalers better than others. Hope it goes well with you!
Why did your consultant change it? We’re your other inhalers not controlling your asthma well?
