Does anyone take Nytol whilst on Pred?

I am on a second course of Prednisolone following another flare up and can’t sleep. I took nytol quote successfully for a few days (about a month ago) to aid sleep but not whilst on Pred. Can’t ask the docs now so thought I would ask you? Thanks all

I'd try not to take it if I were you. Provided you wean yourself off caffeine, (tea, coffee, cola, chocolate, etc) you shouldn't need it. If you really think you need it, then ask the pharmacist.

When I was on prednisone my doctor would at my request prescribe zopiclone 3.75. I needed sleep badly to cope with work and That mild sleeping tablet would help me immensely. Hope that is helpful

Thanks, I think it was the herbal one but I actually slept ok without it! I will speak to my pharmasist on Monday. Thanks

I haven't tried Nytol or anything like that but understand the sleeping difficulties associated with prednisolone. I have hardly any caffeine and, for me, it's definitely not as simple as avoiding caffeine when it comes to prednisolone.

Which Nytol? There’s the herbal one or the one containing diphenhydramine (an antihistamine.) You can check interactions on drugs.com. Or, even better, just phone your pharmacist. I can’t imagine any problems with pred + diphenhydramine. We often take pred & an antihistamine at the same time. But best check if only for peace of mind
