Collagen supplements

I have been reading about the benefits of collagen supplements for the skin, hair and nails but was wondering if there could be any detrimental effect on the lungs. Has anyone any advice, please?

I have been taking the Gold Collagen drinks since the beginning of this year. I started taking them due extremely dry and flaky skin and bad eczema. My skin is almost transformed (still get eczema but much milder). I was cautious at first in case of allergies, so bought a small quantity - but no problems and I have many allergies and asthma. Now I take the supplements just two or three times a week which seems sufficient.
