Fostair - headaches?

Hi ya, I normally get asthma associated with the hay fever season. This year is extremely bad and was prescribed fostair instead of Clenil to be used with Ventolin. I’ve been using Fostair for 3 days and have experienced a bad headache for most of that time, also tight chested a lot of the time and using Ventolin upto 3 times a day also. Has anyone experienced headaches while using Fostair? Also how long should I try this for as I’m finding it increasingly hard to get rid of the tight chestedness. I’ve never experienced asthma of this severity and am feeling extremely anxious and tearful . Does anyone know of anyone I can talk my concerns through with? Many thanks

Can’t comment on Fostair, but the Asthma UK nurses are very good to speak to - 0300 222 5800, weekdays 9-5 (10-4 Easter Monday). Hope you get the help you need.

I couldn't get on with fostair either I gave it 3 months suffered with the headaches tight chest and muscle cramps. It never got better for me got moved to relvar 184 as well as spiriva by the asthma nurse and can say it was the right thing for me. I would think a week would tell you if it will settle for you

I had headaches for several days when I started on Fostair - very tight head. These subsided after a week or so.

I have a dry powder inhaler so have to gargle after each use otherwise I get a sore throat which then leads to a sore chest.

It's 3 months since I started and everything OK.

If you have a wet inhaler you could try using a spacer to see if that helps.
