Or try a pharmacy but they are your best place to get advice regarding this

Yep absolutely safe as long as you keep within the doses indicated on the box. I've taken high doses daily for years and I know others who have taken them at lower doses daily for whole lifetimes. It's absolutely fine.

If you're finding they are not effective then see your GP for stronger antihistamines at higher doses. Otherwise, you really don't need to contact your GP, especially given how pressured they are at the moment. Pharmacists are also more than qualified to give antihistamine advice, so if you do have questions try them first.

Once all this is over and everything is back to normal, it is probably worth letting your GP know that you are taking antihistamines the next time you have an appointment, but it's not urgent.

They can take a while to be effective for instance if you are already reacting to tree pollen. So as long as they don't give you any problems keep on taking them. Allergy UK have some quite good information on managing allergies. All the best

Yes I take Loratadine daily for 6 months of the year due to hayfever which also triggers my asthma. Been doing so for years.

I take ceterizime hydrochloride antihistamines. The one a day type, 10mg. I have taken up to 4 a day, not all at once, when my urticaria is bad.

I take a generic antihistamine all year round along with monteluckast as it’s for my hay fever rather than my asthma although I have asked my dr if I can have a prescription one I had last summer as I’ve already had a flare due to my allergy to tree and grass pollen .You might be able to ring and ask the receptionist to ask for you rather than make an app

I have just had fexofenamine added to my repeat prescription as the cetrazine I buy over the counter aren’t strong enough anymore fingers crossed they work as well as they did last year xxx

Yes I take two antihistamine tablets every day and extra if I have a reaction ( As advised by allergy consultant) check with your GP to make sure it's ok first)
